Calling all swimmers – Buckingham Swimathon – Saturday 28th March 2026

The Rotary Club of Buckingham is organising its 12th Swimathon on Saturday 28th March 2026 at The Swan Pool in Buckingham.

Places are limited so bag your lane now!

Do you have a charity you want to raise money for?

There are many local charities and worthwhile causes in our town and The Rotary Club of Buckingham has invited Buckingham Youth Centre, North Bucks Carers – Young Carers, Buckingham Youth Football Club, Buckingham & Winslow District Citizens Advice Bureau and other charities supported by Rotary to be beneficiaries of Buckingham Swimathon 2026

Swim for a charity of your choice – give them 50% of what you raise!

quote“Swimming is a great way for people of all ages to get fit and most importantly have fun. I’m encouraging the local community to come along to Buckingham Swan Pool, either as an individual or as a team, and take part in this great fundraiser for local good causes in and around Buckingham and other charities. Even if you can only swim a few lengths – your support really will make a huge difference.” – Craig Gibbons (Olympic Swimmer)

Teams of up to six swimmers will swim in relay for 55 minutes. You’re welcome to invite friends, family, or colleagues to join you — or you can swim on your own if you prefer. One of our solo swimmers last year completed 62 lengths of the pool. Why not give it a go and see if you can beat their total?

Entry costs £5 and includes a free drink and light refreshments. Everyone who takes part will receive a medal. There is also a shield for the swimmer or team that completes the most laps, and cups for those who raise the most sponsorship money.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Good Luck!
