The Rotary Club of Buckingham is organising its 12th Swimathon on Saturday 22nd March 2025 at The Swan Pool in Buckingham.
Places are limited so bag your lane now!
Do you have a charity you want to raise money for?
There are many local charities and worthwhile causes in our town and The Rotary Club of Buckingham has invited Buckingham Youth Centre, North Bucks Carers – Young Carers, Moretonville Junior Football Club, Buckingham & Winslow District Citizens Advice Bureau and other charities supported by Rotary to be beneficiaries of Buckingham Swimathon 2025
Swim for a charity of your choice – give them 50% of what you raise!
“Swimming is a great way for people of all ages to get fit and most importantly have fun. I’m encouraging the local community to come along to Buckingham Swan Pool, either as an individual or as a team, and take part in this great fundraiser for local good causes in and around Buckingham and other charities. Even if you can only swim a few lengths – your support really will make a huge difference.” – Craig Gibbons (Olympic Swimmer)
If you would like to take part in the Swimathon just Go To The Registration Page. Teams of up to 6 will swim for 55 minutes in relay. You could ask your friends, family or colleagues to join you or, if not, you are free to swim alone. One of our lone swimmers last year swam 62 lengths of the pool. Why not give it a go and see if you can beat them?
It costs £5 to enter and this includes a free drink, light refreshments. Everyone who enters receives a medal for taking part. There are also a shield for the swimmer or team who completes the most laps, and cups for the most sponsorship money raised.
Looking forward to seeing you there
Good Luck!
President, Rotary Club of Buckingham
