Buckingham Rotary Club is organising its 8th Swimathon on Saturday 23rd March 2019 at The Swan Pool in Buckingham. Places are limited so bag your lane now!
Do you have a charity you want to raise money for?
There are many local charities and worthwhile causes in our town and Buckingham Rotary Club has invited Buckingham Youth Centre, North Bucks Carers – Young Carers, Moretonville Junior Football Club, Buckingham & Winslow District Citizens Advice Bureau and other charities supported by Rotary International to be beneficiaries of the Buckingham Swimathon 2019.
Swim for a charity of your choice – give them 50% of what you raise!
“Swimming is a great way for people of all ages to get fit and most importantly have fun. I’m encouraging the local community to come along to Buckingham Swan Pool on Saturday 5th March, either as an individual or as a team, and take part in this great fundraiser for local good causes in and around Buckingham and other charities. Even if you can only swim a few lengths – your support really will make a huge difference.” – Craig Gibbons (Olympic Swimmer)
If you would like to swim, please complete and return the Registration form. Teams of up to 6 will swim for 55 minutes in relay. You could ask your friends, family or colleagues to join you or, if not, we are happy to put you in a team. You just need to be able to swim one length or more.
It costs £5 to sign up and for that you will receive a free drink, light refreshments and a medal for having taken part. There are also prizes for most sponsorship raised and most laps swum. Once you’ve signed up, we will send you a sponsorship pack and you will also be able to set up your own fund-raising page on VirginMoneyGiving.
